The programme of collecting freshly harvested rice for the 'Hiru Sath-Paththini Seth Shanthiya' is in operation for the ninth day today (08).

Following the concept of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Chairman Rayynor Silva, new rice is being offered all over the country for the alms given at the end of the Sath-Paththini Seth Shanthiya.

Fresh rice offerings will be made for 10 days at 90 temples along three routes covering 20 districts of the country.

The 'Shanthiye Yatra' will arrive at the Meegahatenna Vidyayathana Pirivena, the Mirigama Sasanawardena Pirivena and the Attanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. today.

The procession will then arrive at the Sri Suwasuddharama Purana Viharaya in Walallavita, the Kotadeniyawa Sharabadda Gallen Raja Maha Viharaya and the Yakkala Sri Abhayasekarama from 12:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m.

The procession will also arrive at Horawala Nigrodharamaya, Divulapitiya Sri Priyadarshanaramaya and Navagamuwa Pattini Devalaya from 3:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.

HIRU TV and HIRU FM invite you to offer a pot of freshly harvested rice to the 'Shanthikarma Yathrawa', which will travel to the villages and towns and receive blessings.
