The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that they will announce its decision later this month or early May on whether Chinese-made Sinopharm and Sinovac coronavirus vaccines can be approved for emergency use.

European vaccination expert Siddhartha Datta stated in a News conference in Zurich yesterday (15) that the final stage of the evaluation was now underway.

He further stated that a decision in this regard will be announced at the meetings to be held on May 26 or May 3.

If approved, the WHO will also be able to provide Chinese-made Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines for poor and middle-income countries.
