Thursday, 29 July 2021 - 14:40

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has lifted the restriction on the number of passengers.

Accordingly, CAA stated that there will be NO limitation of passenger number per flight for fully vaccinated persons.

For that, they have to have administered the relevant number of vaccine doses within 14 days and submit the vaccination certificates.

The CAA further stated that the restriction will not apply to passengers arriving under the Sri Lanka Tourism Bio Bubble Program.

According to a statement issued by the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, only 75 passengers who do not come through the Bio Bubble and have been partially vaccinated can arrive in one flight.

These new regulations will come into effect from 1 August, and passengers arriving in all these categories will be required to comply with the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and the Civil Aviation Authority on their arrival.
