19 billion worth of heroin smuggled from Afghanistan to an Indian port

Two containers of heroin valued at Rs. 19 billion, suspected to have been manufactured in Afghanistan, have been found in the Gujarat port of India.

Officers of the Indian Revenue Intelligence Unit found one container containing 2,000 kilograms of heroin in the Mundra port in Gujarat and the other container contained about 1,000 kilograms of heroin.

It has been revealed that the heroin was smuggled from Afghanistan to India through an Iranian port.

According to the Indian media, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and the Afghans involved have also been identified.
