Teachers and Principals unions have decided to report for duty from 25 October.

However, they have decided to report for duty from Monday, 25 October, and engage in various union trade activities.

Today marks the 99th day of the Teacher-Principal Trade Union Alliance's withdrawal from online teaching based on the issue of salary anomalies.

The Government is currently planning to start schools with less than 200 students from 21 October.

However, the convener of the National Unity Against Teachers 'and Principals' Salary Anomalies Ven. Ulapane Sumangala Thera stated that his union will commence a continuous strike from 21 October.

Meanwhile, school cleaning activities which are scheduled to open from the 21st of this month are being carried out with the participation of parents.

Colombo Zonal Director of Education G.N. Silva stated that all 26 schools with less than 200 students in the Colombo District are ready to reopen from 21 October.

The Teachers and Principals unions have decided to launch a strike on the 21 and 22 October.

This decision has been taken at the teacher-principal union meeting held today (18).
