A senior official said that another ship carrying 3800 tons of gas had arrived in the island today.
The Litro Company stated yesterday that the ship carrying 2800 metric tons of gas that arrived in the island yesterday afternoon could not be unloaded due to bad weather conditions in the sea areas.
As a result, Litro yesterday advised people not to wait in gas queues yesterday and today.
However, the company stated that the ship will be brought to the Port of Colombo and then transported to the Kerawalapitiya Gas Storage Terminal for distribution.
They were able to release only 8,000 cylinders yesterday.
