Ravindu Varna Rangana alias Buru Moona, an underworld shooter who has been detained and interrogated for 90 days, has been presented before a psychiatrist at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital.

The Western Province Southern Crime Division stated that he was brought to Kalubowila Hospital yesterday for that purpose.

On the 20th, when the suspect was presented to the Judicial medical officer of the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital, Buru Muna said that he was undergoing treatment for a mental illness, and was presented to a psychiatrist on the recommendation of the Judicial medical officer.

It is reported that the doctor who examined the suspect for almost 20 minutes has advised him to take the same medicine he is currently taking.

Meanwhile, Buru Moona, has revealed many other facts before the police.

The suspect was arrested by the Avissawella police last Friday, and he is currently being detained at the Western Province Southern Investigation Division.

He had previously admitted that he killed a businessman in Hanwella, and it has now been revealed that his target was a brother of the businessman.
