Colombo, June 12, 2024 - The 22-year-old man struck by a jeep belonging to Member of Parliament Nalin Bandara near Kongasdeniya Junction on June 3rd has succumbed to his injuries.
The young man, a resident of Tihariya - Kalgedihena, passed away after fighting for his life in the intensive care unit for eight days.
In a final act of generosity, the young man had expressed his wish to donate his organs. His kidneys and liver have since been donated to three recipients, potentially saving their lives.
