The John Keells Group is set to launch its highly anticipated project, Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, today (October 15). Developed with an investment exceeding USD 1.2 billion, this project marks the largest private investment in the country and aims to transform Sri Lanka's tourism industry.
Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams will feature 687 luxury rooms, expansive event spaces, and high-tech conference facilities capable of hosting over 5,000 guests, positioning Colombo as a top destination for international events and MICE travel. The resort boasts a team of over 1,500 professionals, including 250 chefs, who will offer a world-class culinary experience. It also serves as an ideal venue for destination weddings and grand events.
John Keells Group Chairperson, Krishan Balendra, hailed the project as a milestone for both the group and Sri Lanka. He emphasized its potential to transform Colombo into a regional hub for leisure, entertainment, and global events, while also generating significant tourism demand and creating over 20,000 employment opportunities.
Although Cinnamon Life opens its doors on October 15, the shopping mall, entertainment areas, and the ultra-luxury 'Nuwa' hotel will be fully operational by mid-2025.
