A tragic accident claimed the life of a three-year-old child in the Maradana Police Division yesterday (10), after being crushed by a jeep in front of the railway headquarters.
Investigations reveal that the accident occurred when the child, seated behind the vehicle, was run over as his father reversed the jeep to park near their home.
The child's body has been placed at the Colombo National Hospital morgue, while Maradana Police continue their investigations.
