The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced a moderate uplift today (24), with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) closing at 15,912.61, up by 33.28 points (0.21%), and a turnover of Rs.1.9 billion.

Key positive contributions came from counters such as C T Holdings, Hatton National Bank, and Sanasa Development Bank, bolstered by high net worth and institutional investor activity in names like John Keells Holdings, CIC Holdings, and Hatton National Bank.

Conversely, the S&P SL20 closed in red, while foreign investors remained net sellers with a net outflow of LKR 12.7 million. The banking sector accounted for 44% of the day's turnover, with the Capital Goods and Materials sectors jointly contributing 30%.

Despite a stable first half, some selling pressure in the second half—possibly from profit-taking—was observed, reflecting a mixed investor sentiment overall.
