Various ideas continue to be published further as in the past few days with regard to the impeachment presented against the Chief Justice.

Participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday, Co-operatives and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando said that the Chief Justice should immediately resign from the post in a manner that preserves the honour of the judiciary.

However participating at a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday United Socialist Party Secretary Siritunga Jayasuriya said that all should get together for the independence of the judiciary.
