Powers of Parliament for the benefit of the public; government

Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee Anura Priyadharshana Yapa has ensured members of the public that powers vested within parliament are being constantly enacted to ensure their benefit.


Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa made the following remarks while addressing a gathering in Mawathagama-Kurunegala yesterday.




Meanwhile during a meeting which was held between Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe & representatives of the National Lawyers Association

the impeachment motion filed against the Chief Justice had been discussed meticulously.


The National Lawyers Association collectively during the meeting had pledged

support to the stance of Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe during the meeting.
