The speaker and the MP's cannot give interpretations; says UNP.

The UNP says that if the  Supreme Court has given an interpretation the MPs including the Speaker should agree with that verdict.    


UNP MP Lakshman Kiriella said so while participating at a function held in Kandy yesterday.


The MP points out that all should get together and formulate new laws in accordance with the Supreme Court verdict.




Deputy Health Minister Attorney at law Lalith Disanayake says that there was no possibility to act outside the decision given by former Speaker Anura Bandaranaike.


The Deputy Minister pointed out at a meeting held in Awissawella yesterday that accordingly parliament was supreme.
