1050 school text books seized from Gampola.

The police apprehended a person who had sold 1050 school text books for money along with the text books he had sold.


Police media spokesman's office said that this person arrested yesterday had been taken into custody at a shop situated alongside the Gampola - Nuwara Eliya Road.


Reports say that he had sold text books printed in Sinhala, Tamil and English from year One to year 11.


The suspect is scheduled to be produced before the Gampola Magistrate Court today.


Meanwhile on an earlier occasion, a stock of text books were recovered in Tangalle.
