Bus unions get together for a bus fair amendment

Bus unions are getting ready to act jointly with regard to taking steps in connection with the new bus fare amendment that should come into effect next month.

Lanka bus owners' union chairman Gaemunu Wijeratne said that the authorities had so far not taken action even to hold a discussion with regard to the bus fare amendment.

The Lanka bus owners' union chairman said further that the final lines of actions were scheduled to be decided upon within the coming week.

All Island Private bus union federation general secretary Anjana Priyanjith said that the federation would come forward to act jointly with sections honestly desiring to obtain the bus fare amendment.
