Secretary of Defence files reply with American Embassy

The United States of America has stated that the impeachment of the Chief Justice may influence investment opportunities being made in the country adversely.

US Ambassador to the island Mitchelle Sisson reiterated this view expressed by the US state Department earlier, during a ceremony which was organised by the Board of Investment in Mathara today.


Meanwhile Secretary of Defence Ghotabhaya Rajapaksa stated that diplomat's were querying him on something which was altogether totally different.


The Secretary of Defence also expressed the following views on the restrictions that the international community may place on Sri Lanka & the counter measures that the island may adopt against them.
