CEB would not be privatised; Minister Patali

Minister of Power & Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka states that the

Ceylon Electricity Board would not be privatised.

Minister Ranawaka made this observation while addressing a function held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Convention centre yesterday.

Speaking further he noted that steps would be taken to make changes in the Management structure of the Lanka Electricity Company.


However addressing a recently held function in Colombo, Deputy Minister of Finance Dr. Sarath Amunugama noted that the CEB should gear up to compete with the private sector.
