Tamil Nadu removed from Training for Sri lanka army in India.

Indian Security Minister A. K. Anthony says that training would be given to Sri Lankan army in India without interruption.


Conducting a joint media briefing with Foreign Affairs Minister G. L. Peiris, the Indian Security Minister said that the relationship maintained with Sri Lanka will continue without any hindrance.


Participating in the media briefing the Indian Security Minister said further that it was the responsibility of both countries to maintain the relationship without interruption.


Meanwhile recently views were expressed with regard to the training provided to the Sri Lankan army in India.


In this context the Indian Security Minister asserted that attention was being drawn with regard to providing training for the Sri Lankan army personnel in India outside Tamil Nadu.


While training was given to Sri Lankan Army in Tamil Nadu in the recent past, opposition was raised against this by political parties representing Tamil Nadu.


In the backdrop of this the Indian Government has decided to provide training to the Sri Lankan security forces outside the boundaries of Tamil Nadu.
