The Moratuwa University Engineering Faculty students' Union has requested that the security of the Moratuwa University Engineering students be ensured.

Engineering Faculty Students' Union Chairman Madhuka Chandrasiri participating at the media briefing held in Colombo for explainig about the incident of attack within the Moratuwa University premises that had taken place in the night of the 16th of this month stated as follows:

As a result of a clash between two groups of the  Moratuwa University Engineering Faculty and the National Institute of Technical Diploma students the said two faculties were closed recently.

However we inquired about the allegations of the Engineering Faculty Students' Union from the N D T students' union  Convenor Buddhika Ariyaratna.

Meanwhile at a media briefing held recently Higher Education Minister S. B. Dissanayake charged that the Frontline Socialist Party was involved in the clash that had taken place at the Moratuwa University
