Student who failed A/L's commits suicide

A 19 year old student in the Narangwala region in the Kandy – Daulugala police division had committed suicide by hanging himself in his room.

The family members of the deceased student state that not obtaining the desired results in the A/Level examination would have been the reason for the suicide.

Damith Chamara, was a student on Kingswood College in Kandy and sat for the A/L examination last year under the agriculture stream.

The Daulugala police are conducting investigations into the suicide at present.
