Fundamental Rights Petition filed against former Attorney General annulled

A Fundamental Rights Petition filed before the Supreme Court stating that Chief Justice Mohan Peiris when acting as the countries former Attorney General had caused the government a loss of rupees 619 million, was annulled today.


The FPR was filed by Deputy Customs General D.R. Rathnasekara on the 19th of October 2010 and was accordingly annulled by a three judge panel of the Supreme Court.
