1100 prison detainees released in lieu of independence

The Ministry of Rehabilitation and Prison reforms stated that 1,100 Prisoners will be released tomorrow in view of the 65th Independence Day.


The prisoners to be released will be those who have been imprisoned over minor crimes and those who have been unable to pay their fines.


Additionally relatives will be given the opportunity to visit inmates in view of the Independence day.
