Amendment bill proscribing transfer of funds to terrorist organizations postponed

The Amendment bill which proscribes funds as well as goods being provided to terrorist outfits was taken up for debate in parliament today.


It is also reported that President Mahinda Rajapaksa had marked his presence at the house for a short while.


However subsequent to the opposition pointing out that the word 'terrorist' had been poorly defined within the bill, a tense situation followed.
