Human Rights Watch said today in a public letter to Commonwealth Heads of Government that The Commonwealth should shift the venue of its November 2013 Heads of Government Meeting from Sri Lanka unless its government makes prompt, measurable, and meaningful progress on human rights.

However, Minister of External Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris stated the government has a practical plan to deal with the Human Rights challenges.
