The Ministry of External Affairs states that the aim of the visit of Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma is to discuss the organisational activities of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit.

 

A special discussion was held at the premises of the Ministry of External Affairs this morning under the patronage of the visiting Secretary General of the Commonwealth and Secretaries of the Sri Lanka Ministry of External Affairs & Heads of Security forces.

 

Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs Karunathilleke Amunugama expressed his views to our news in this regard.

Speaking further he noted that the Secretary General of the Commonwealth had made no mention of the countries which would be participating at the upcoming CHOGAM summit.
