No bus fare revision tomorrow; Gamunu prepares for a strike.

Wednesday, 13 February 2013 - 8:10

The National Transport Commission says that no bus fare revision will take place tomorrow.

The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Union said that it would go on strike if a bus fare revision was effected before tomorrow.

However NTC Chairman Roshaan Gunawardhana told our news team that after doing a proper study about the need to revise the bus fare, it had been decided not to make such a bus fare revision.

Our news team inquired about this decision from the Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Union.

The Union Chairman Gaemunu Wijeratne said that it would show its decision through a trade Union action.
