The full authority to appoint and remove UNP electorate organisers are again vested in the party leader.
This decision was taken at the party working committee meeting held yesterday.
Earlier this authority was removed from the party leader and transferred to the party advisory committee.
Accordingly in the future the party leader will have the authority to appoint or remove any organiser in reference to any electorate in the island when required.
Similarly at the party working committee meeting held yesterday it was also decided to give the last warning to MPs Dayasiri Jayasekera and Buddhika Pathirana.
The criticism of party principles through media is cited as the reason for this.
In addition yesterday working committee approval was also given for appointing 100 new electorate organisers for 2013.
But although MP Dayaasiri Jayasekara had been appointed as Panduwasnuvara electorate, the working committee decided yesterday to temporarily withhold the appointment.
However no idea was expressed with regard to the deputy leadership at the party working committee meeting yesterday.
