President Mahinda Rajapakse states that Sri lanka is a sanctuary for the 4 main religions in the world to live in harmony.


President stated that the government is engaged in a process of developing the nation and in that process the President emphasised that it is vital to have a better understating among races whilst ensuring religious harmony.


President Rajapakse participating at a ceremony held in Kandy yesterday stated that it is the responsibility of the government to protect the heritage of the country.
