Public Force to prevent child abuse

The National Child Protection Authority is gearing up to instate Voluntary Public Forces island wide in order to prevent child abuse.


Chairperson of the NCPA Attorney at law Anoma Dissanayaka stated that accordingly these voluntary forces will be trained from identifying an incident of child abuse up until the immediate steps that could be taken in the event of such an incident.


She also stated that the support of the security forces as well as that of local and international organizations pertaining to the safety of children will be obtained in this initiative.
