The Tamil National Alliance states that in the event of being provided adequate reassurance from India, the alliance would participate in the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to formulate a solution for the national issue.

Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo yesterday, Minister of Media Keheliya Rambukwella invited the TNA to join the PSC appointed to seek a solution for the national issue.

When contacted a senior spokesperson for the TNA noted that a final decision regarding the alliance's stance would be issued once party leader R. Sampanthan returns from his Geneva tour.
