Spot fines to be imposed on owners of defecating dogs

Owners of leash-led dogs that defecate on public roads would be slapped with a fine ranging from rupees 500 to 5,000, according to authorities of the Western Provincial Council.


The Western Provincial Council has decided to impose the fine on the owners if their dogs are caught defecating on public roads while they enjoy their constitutional.


Health Services Director of the Western Provincial Council Dr. Amal Harsha De Silva expressing his views to our news team expressed the following views in this regard.
