UNP accuses government of debacle in Indo-Sri Lanka ties

While addressing a media briefing which was held in Colombo today General Secretary of the UNP MP Thissa Aththanayeke charged that Indo-Sri Lankan ties had deteriorated at present.




The United National Party questioned the government in parliament today regarding the plight of the country in the Commonwealth as well as the government’s reluctance to implement the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt & Reconciliation Commission.


Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe making a special statement in parliament today noted that the plight of the country in the face of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting had been discussed with its Secretary General.




Minister of External Affairs G.L Peiris meanwhile filed the following views in reply.
