Assistant Minister of the Indian Prime Minister’s office Naaraayan Swaami says that he firmly condemns the attack levelled by the Sri Lankan Navy against fishermen engaged in fishing in the Indian sea belt .

Naaraayan Swami had said so when he had gone to Karaikal Public Hospital to see a fisherman alleged to have been wounded by an attack of the Sri Lankan navy.

Our news team inquired about this from Navy media spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya as well.

The spokesman said that the Indian High Commissioner has been informed in writing that the Navy had not carried out such a shooting.
