The draft tax amendment Acts presented in parliament recently is scheduled to be taken up for debate from today.
In view of this parliamentary session will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Fifteen petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of 11 out of the 21 draft tax amendment Acts thus presented in parliament.
Strategic development projects amendment, Betting and gaming levy amendment, NBT amendment, Fiscal amendment responsibility amendment, Finance VAT amendment, Inland revenue amendment, Notaries amendment, Powers of attorney amendment, registration of documents amendment and TAX appeals commission amendment are thus challenged.
