A father has climbed to a Maara tree in the Kottawa town demanding solutions to issues that have arisen at the Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya situated along the Kottawa – Piliyandala road.

He is engaging in this protest against the decision to shift the school’s primary section to another school.

The convener of the school protection association, Indrajith Perera, who is engaging in the protest, stated that he is prepared to commit suicide if no solutions are presented within a specific time.

Upon inquiry by our news team regarding this the Western provincial chief minister and education minister Prasanna Ranatunga stated that climbing a tree is not the solution for such issues.
