Inquiring of written opinions regarding Electricity tariffs ends today

The Public Utilities Commission states that the inquiring of written opinions of the public regarding the electricity tariff amendments due to be made after the 4th of April ends today.


The commission stated that a report will be compiled regarding tariff changes after taking into consideration the public opinions collected throughout two weeks.


Director General of the Public Utilities Commission Damitha Kumarasinghe stated that the public and civil organizations will be allowed to state opinions verbally on the 4th of April.




Meanwhile, the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya of the Ceylon Electricity Board stated that it will forward its opinion regarding the electricity tariff changes today.
