2 women in custody over 4.4 million Rupee theft in Kadugannawa

Two females and a male have been placed under arrest in connection to a robbery which occurred at pawning center in Danthurei-Kadugannawa.

 

According to the Police Media unit gold worth 358,305 rupees as well cash amounting to rupees four million 97,648 have been retrieved by police which had been stolen by the perpetrators.

 

Those arrested comprise of the manageress of the establishment, its cashier and another individual.

 

An armed group had executed heist at the pawning centre last morning.
