Law students of Tamilnadu urge provincial government to include humanitarian operation into school syllabus

A group of Tamilnadu law students have requested of the Tamilnadu provincial government to incorporate all events of the humanitarian operation into the school syllabus.


According to media reports the request has been made with the intention of educating the student population of Tamilnadu.


A set of proposals in this regard have already been handed over to the Tamilnadu provincial government.


DMK president M. Karunanidhi said his party MPs and Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation meeting would meet the envoys of various countries in London to press for shifting the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.


In a statement issued, Karunanidhi, reiterating his demand that CHOGM slated to be held later this year should be shifted out of Colombo, said on behalf of TESO it has been requested that the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group should deliberate and decide that CHOGM should not be held in Sri Lanka.


The CMAG meeting will be held in London April 26.


Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting will be held in Sri Lanka on November 15th to 17th as scheduled.
