No reason to fear - say Sri Lanka ambassador to Korea.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador to South Korea Thissa Wijerathne states that the situation in South Korea is peaceful despite a warning issued by North Korea to all foreign nationals in South Korea to leave the country.


He made this statement while engaging in a special telephone discussion with our news team.


There are currently close to 25 thousnd Sri Lankans employed in South Korea and the ministry of external affairs stated that they will be registered at the Sri Lankan embassy in South Korea.


However, speaking to our news team Sri Lankans in South Korea stated that they were not informed by any officials regarding a conflict situation.
