88 distressed migrant employees arrive in the island

88 Sri Lankan migrant workers who had traveled to Kuwait & Saudi Arabia in search of foreign employment and were subjected to harassment arrived in the island this morning.


The group comprises of 77 women as well as 16 men while a women amongst the group is said to be in possession of a 2 month old baby.


According to the Ministry of External Affairs transport facilities have been provided for these individuals to travel to their respective homes.
