The recommendations of the Public Utilities commission on electricity to the CEB today.

The Public Utilities Commission says that the recommendations regarding the proposed new electricity fare methodology will be presented to the CEB today.

Public Utilities Commission Chairman Dr. Jayatissa de Costa said that for balancing  purposes a revision of the electricity bill was necessary due to the increase the cost CEB incurred for production of  electricity.


The Public Utilities Commission is also scheduled to make an official announcement on the recommendations with regard to the new electricity fare revision methodology after they are handed over to the CEB.
