Parliament was adjourned until May 7th after a tense situation erupted yesterday as well over the increase of the electricity tariffs.

Deputy Chairman of Committees earlier decided to adjourn the house for five minutes after the UNP MPs walked into the chambers with lit candle sticks in hand and started protesting.

Meanwhile UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekera showing a press release issued by Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka questioned about the content in the press release.
