Policy on Energy imperative; Former subject Minister Patali

Former Minister of Power and energy Patali Champika Ranawaka has stressed the importance of appropriate energy policy.


Minister Ranawaka shared this observation while addressing an intellectual’s discussion on the recent revisions to electricity tariffs.


Speaking here Minister Ranawaka noted that at present the energy issue had gained prominence over political power the world over.




However UNP MP Dr. Harsha De Silva who was also present during the discussion added that inability to cut down on production costs had resulted in the power crisis.
