Focus on shutting down 300 eateries in Colombo city.

The Colombo Municipal Council Public Health Division says that action will be taken to close down 300 eateries in Colombo City that have failed to provide proper consumer services.


The Colombo Municipal Council points out that while these eateries did not have even the minimum hygienic facilities they had not obtained even the trade certificate.   


Colombo Municipal Council Chief Medical Officer Pradeep Kaariyawasam said that by now the initial legal procedures had been instituted with regard to these eateries.
