Technology assistance from Japan to develop Energy resources

The President’s Media Unit states that the government of Japan is prepared to offer Sri Lanka with the required technical assistance to boost its energy efficient production.


This was conveyed when Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso met President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the President’s House this morning.


During the meeting, the President also expressed Sri Lanka’s gratitude to Japan for its continued support in major development projects.


The Japanese Premier in return, has assured President Rajapaksa of Japan’s support to Sri Lanka at international fora.


The President and Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister also agreed that the two countries should do more to enhance economic cooperation and promote investment.
