The National Electricity Consumers’ Movement says that there are problems with regard to the relief given with regard to the increased electricity tariff.

While on the President’s orders the Power and Energy Ministry took steps to grant relief to the electricity tariff hike, the relevant relief was revealed yesterday.

Accordingly there won’t be an electricity tariff hike till the 60th unit inclusive.

Similarly it has also been decided to make a 25 per cent fuel adjustment tariff reduction from the 61st unit to the 180th unit.

Accordingly from the 61st unit to the 66th unit only the tariff for 60 units will be charged.

Similarly from the 91st unit to the 96th unit only the tariff for 90 units will be charged.

Similarly the Power and Energy Ministry said that the 121st unit to the 126th unit only the tariff for 120 units would be charged.
