Prehistoric Balangoda human skeletons found at Kuragala sent for International testing

Prehistoric+Balangoda+human+skeletons+found+at+Kuragala+sent+for+International+testing

 

The department of Archaeology states that the prehistoric human skeletons and fossil remains found at the Balangoda – Kuragala archaeological site will be subject to an international test to determine its age.

 

During excavation activities at the site stone implements, fossilized bone fragments and a human skeleton was uncovered on the 25th of April and it has been determined that the skeletal remains are of prehistoric origin.

 

Excavation officer Saman Kumara Aerae - gama stated that following the discovery of the skeleton a decision has been made to expand the excavation.
