The Meteorological Department stated that a cyclonic condition is developing around 1000 Kilometers off the coast from Potuvil towards the east in the bay of Bengal.

 

Duty Meteorologist Jeewan Karunarathna stated that accordingly engaging in fishing and naval activities 300 KM’s off the eastern coast would be risky.
