Constituent parties which comprise the TNA agrees to act based on a MOU in future.

Constituent parties which comprise the Tamil National Alliance have agreed to act based on a memorandum of understanding in future.


An internal rift transpired within the TNA recently based on disputes concerning the parties registration.


The Illangai Thamil Arasu Katchi,  a constituent of the TNA headed by its leader R. Sambanthan however opposed the TNA’s registration.


Parties including TELO, EPRLF, TULF & PLOT however opined the that party should be registered.


Subsequent to a discussion held yesterday under the patronage of Mannar’s Bishop Right Reverand Rayappu Joseph, parties representing the TNA had arrived at a common consensus.


Speaking here Right reverend Rayappu Joseph had added that the unity of parties representing the TNA was essential for the welfare of the countries tamil population.


Senior member of TELO M.K. Sivajilingam expressing his views in this regard meanwhile noted that further discussions are due to be held with regards to the proposed MOU due to be reached between all TNA constituents.
